Antarctic Solar Eclipse

For anyone that’s had the opportunity to see a solar eclipse, they know just how magical it is. Now imagine seeing that at the end of the world. On December 4th, 2021, that’s exactly what several thousand fortunate people got to see.

According to Live Science, a partial eclipse started to rise above the horizon, over the water. As it rose, the eclipse moved ever closer to totality, which it eventually reached higher in the sky. Once there, the spectators (including penguins) could see the stunning “diamond ring” effect in the crystal-clear Antarctic sky.

While many of us may never be fortunate enough to visit Antarctica, if you ever have the chance to see a total eclipse anywhere, take it. It is a spectacle that has no equal.
