From Bad to Worse to Better

We’ve all had those moments where things go from bad to worse. Like losing your job then finding out that your car needs to be fixed. But, every now and then, life throws you a bone. That’s exactly what happened to some folks in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.

According to NPR, a medical helicopter was transporting an infant from out of state when something went horribly wrong. It crash landed in the middle of the road then slid until it came to rest in two pieces in some bushes just outside of Drexel Hill United Methodist Church.

Fortunately, all four aboard the helicopter, including the infant, sustained only minor injuries. “It’s a miracle, it’s an absolute miracle, here what you see behind me,” said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy M. Bernhardt. He added that he was eager to shake the pilot’s hand for controlling the landing like he did.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but I think we can pretty much all agree with the Police Superintendent’s assessment; it’s a miracle. I’m willing to bet the child’s family thinks so.
