Andrew Bango, a P.E. teacher at Arcola Elementary, and Kimberly Poole, who teaches Career and Technical Education at J.L. Simpson Middle School, were lauded for their excellence in teaching. Bango, celebrated for his dedication, has also been nominated for the prestigious 2024 Washington Post Teacher of the Year Award.

Nikisha Diehl, principal of Mercer Middle School, and Jeffery Joseph, who leads Dominion Trail, were also honored. Diehl, serving for 14 years, has been nominated for the Washington Post Principal of the Year Award, while Joseph has been with the division for 24 years, embodying values of respect and hard work.

The celebrations extended beyond the individual awards, with special recognition given to long-serving educators. Among them, Susan Lynn and Mary ‘Beth’ Paquette, who have each dedicated over 40 years to Loudoun’s educational mission, and Charles Smith Sr., a counselor with 45 years of service.

Congratulations to all of these dedicated educators!
